Normal Operation
When placing the range selector lever in a selected gear (P, R, N, D, or (D) ) the transmission will be in the correct gear for what was selected.

Possible Causes
When placing the range selector lever in a selected gear (P, R, N, D, or (D) ) and the transmission is not in the corresponding gear for what was selected, the cause could be:
^ Shift linkage out of adjustment
^ Worn or broken shift cable
^ Wiring, terminals or connectors
