1. Using a suitable lifting crane, install the engine in the vehicle.





2. Install the 2 nuts to the RH engine mount (through the wheel well).
^ Tighten to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the LH engine mount through-bolt.
^ Tighten to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.).

4. NOTE: RH shown; LH similar.





Remove the engine lifting eyes.

5. NOTE: Install new 0-ring seals lubricated in clean PAG oil.





Position the A/C compressor manifold assembly and install the bolt.
^ Tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).





6. Using the special tool, install a new 0-ring seal on the power steering pressure (PSP) tube fitting.





7. Connect the PSP tube to the power steering pump.
^ Tighten to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.).





8. Install the support bracket.
^ Tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





9. Connect the PSP hose bracket to the front cover.





10. Connect the PSP switch electrical connector.





11. Connect the power steering reservoir hose to he power steering cooler.





12. Position the battery cable harness and install the pin-type retainers.

13. CAUTION: Do not connect the negative battery cable at this time.

Connect the positive battery cable to the battery.





14. Install the power distribution power supply electrical connector.
^ Tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





15. Close the power distribution box cover.





16. Connect the 2 vacuum hoses.
17. Connect the fuel tube.





18. Connect the brake booster hose to the intake manifold.





19. Position the vacuum harness and install it in the retainer.





20. Install the 2 bolts and the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system module.
^ Tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).





21. Connect the EGR system module tube nut to he EGR system module.





22. Connect the electrical connector and the vacuum hose to the EGR system module.





23. Position the ground strap and install the bolt.
^ Tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





24. Install the wiring harness retaining clip and the wiring harness.





25. Install the engine wiring harness into the 3 retaining clips.





26. Connect the engine wiring harness and the electrical connector to the powertrain control module (PCM).
^ Tighten to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.).





27. Install the coolant hose to the intake manifold.





28. Install the coolant hose into the retaining clips on the RH valve cover.





29. Position the vacuum harness and install the 2 vacuum hoses.





30. Install the 2 coolant hoses.





31. Position the accelerator bracket and cables and install the 2 bolts.
^ Tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





32. Install the speed control cable into the pin-type retainer.





33. Connect the accelerator cable, the speed control cable and the throttle return spring.
34. Install the transmission.
35. Install the cooling module.
36. Install the engine cooling fan.
37. Install the air cleaner assembly.
38. Fill the engine with clean engine oil.
39. Connect the battery ground cable.
40. Fill and bleed the engine cooling system.
41. Charge the A/C system.
42. Install the hood.
