Removal and Installation







1. Remove the upper trim panel.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the liftgate window washer hose.







4. CAUTION: Support the liftgate before removing the liftgate struts.

Disconnect the liftgate struts from the liftgate.

5. CAUTION: To avoid damaging the liftgate, this step requires an assistant.

Remove the liftgate-to-hinge bolts and the liftgate.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).

6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
7. Adjust as necessary.
