Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

IDLE AIR CONTROL (IAC) VALVE

REMOVAL







1. Remove the bolts and the accelerator control snow shield.







2. Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector.







3. Remove the bolts, IAC valve and gasket.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Install a new IAC gasket. Tighten the bolts in two stages.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Stage 2: Rotate an additional 90 degrees.
