Pinpoint Test K: Transmission Control Indicator Lamp (TCIL) Stays Illuminated

Normal Operation

When the TCS switch is depressed, a Tight on the dash will illuminate OlD OFF. When the TCS switch is depressed a second time, the lamp will go off.

Possible Causes

If the TCS switch is depressed and the light does not turn off, the possible causes couTd be:

^ Faulty PCM
^ Short to ground
^ Short to open
^ Faulty TCS switch
^ Wiring, terminals or connectors
