Transmission Selector Cable1. With the vehicle in PARK, position it on a hoist.

2. Remove the parts in the order indicated in the above illustration and table.
To remove individual parts, only carry out the listed steps:
3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Item 4: Transmission Selector Lever Cable Grommet Removal Note
1. Push the cable grommet through the floor pan.
Item 5: Transmission Selector Lever Cable Installation Note
1. After installing the shift cable, it will be necessary to adjust the shift cable.
Item 6: Transmission Selector Lever Cable Retaining Clip Installation Note
1. After installing the shift cable, make sure that the shift cable retaining clip is securely seated against the cable adjuster.
Item 4: Transmission Selector Lever Cable Grommet Installation Note
1. The cable grommet must be seated up against the floor pan tightly or water may enter the passenger compartment.
