Test M

PINPOINT TEST M: THE HAZARD LAMP(S) ARE INOPERATIVE

Test M1-M2:

Test M2-M4:

Test M4-M5:

Normal Operation
The electronic flasher receives battery power from CJB fuse 5 (15A). The electronic flasher provides power to the multifunction switch through circuit 8 (OG/YE). When the hazard switch is turned ON, current flows from the multifunction switch to the RH turn signals through circuit 2 (WH/LB) and LF turn signals through circuit 3 (LG/WH). The timed on/off cycle is determined in the electronic turn signal flasher and is set to flash approximately 80 times per minute if both the front and rear indicators operate. If only one turn signal lamp operates, the electronic turn signal flasher will flash approximately 160 times per minute.

Possible Causes
- Circuit 8 (OG/YE) open.
- Electronic flasher.
- Multifunction switch.
- CJB.
