Headlamp Washer Motor: Testing and Inspection

WIPER / WASHER: HEADLIGHT CLEANER MOTOR: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT CLEANER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the washer jar.

(b) Disconnect the headlight cleaner washer motor and pump connector.

HINT
Make sure that the headlight cleaner washer motor and pump is installed to the washer jar.

(c) Fill the washer jar with washer fluid.

(d) Connect the positive (+) lead of the battery to terminal 2 of the headlight cleaner washer motor and pump, and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1.

(e) Check that washer fluid flows from the washer jar.

OK:

Washer fluid flows from the washer jar.

If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight cleaner motor and pump assembly.
