Disassembly

HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: REAR AIR CONDITIONING UNIT: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE REAR SIDE NO. 4 AIR DUCT (w/ Rear Air Duct)

(a) Remove the 3 screws and duct.





2. REMOVE REAR AIR MIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.

3. REMOVE COOLER BRACKET

(a) Remove the 4 screws and bracket.





4. REMOVE REAR MODE DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.

NOTICE:
After removing the damper servo, do not move the gear of the servo unit.

5. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the packing.





(b) Detach the 3 claws and remove the cover.





(c) Remove the bolt and 2 screws.

(d) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clips and slide the 2 clips.

(e) Detach the clamp.

(f) Disconnect the drain hose.

(g) Remove the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

(h) Remove the 2 O-rings from the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

6. REMOVE REAR COOLING UNIT EXPANSION VALVE

(a) Remove the packing.





(b) Detach the clamp and remove the connector.





(c) Remove the 3 screws.





(d) Remove the bracket.





(e) Remove the 2 bolts and tube.





(f) Remove the 2 O-rings from the tube.

(g) Remove the rear cooling unit expansion valve.





(h) Remove the 2 O-rings from the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

7. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Detach the claw and open the heater clamp.

(c) Remove the heater radiator.





(d) Detach the 2 claws and remove the heater clamp.





8. REMOVE HEATER BRACKET

(a) Remove the 3 screws and bracket.





9. REMOVE REAR BLOWER WITH FAN MOTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 screws and rear blower with fan motor.





10. REMOVE BLOWER MOTOR CONTROLLER

(a) Remove the 2 screws and blower motor controller.





11. REMOVE REAR COOLING UNIT EXPANSION VALVE

(a) Detach the 2 clamps.





(b) Detach the 3 clamps and disconnect the air conditioning wiring harness from the rear cooling unit case.





(c) Remove the 12 screws and rear cooling unit case LH.





(d) Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts.





(e) Remove the tube connector.





12. REMOVE REAR EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the evaporator from the rear cooling unit case RH.





(b) Remove the 2 O-rings from the evaporator.





13. REMOVE REAR EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR

(a) Move the tip of the sensor in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to remove it from the bracket plate.





(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the sensor.

14. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY
