Installation
BRAKE CONTROL: BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR:
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) New brake pedal stroke sensor assembly:
(1) Install a new brake pedal stroke sensor assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 9.3 Nm (95 kgf-cm, 82 in-lbf)
NOTICE:
- Engage the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly lever with the brake pedal groove.
- Check that there is no foreign matter attached to the contact surface of the brake pedal stroke sensor.
(2) Strongly depress the brake pedal and the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly lever set pin will break.
(3) Remove the broken lever set pin.
(4) Connect the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly connector.
(b) Reuse of brake pedal stroke sensor assembly:
(1) Temporarily install the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly with the 2 bolts.
- Engage the brake pedal stroke sensor lever with the brake pedal groove.
- Check that there is no foreign matter attached to the contact surface of the brake pedal stroke sensor.
(2) Connect the connector to the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly.
(3) Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal.
(4) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(5) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Reading the stroke sensor 1 value shown on the data monitor, turn the stroke sensor slowly to the right and left to adjust the value to the standard voltage.
Standard voltage:
0.8 to 1.2 V
(6) Fully tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque: 9.3 Nm (95 kgf-cm, 82 in-lbf)
NOTE: Do not depress the brake pedal after turning the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
3. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation
4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER Installation
5. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Installation
7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
8. CHECK AND CLEAR DTC
