Blower Motor Relay: Testing and Inspection

HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: RELAY (w/ PTC Heater): ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
- w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.





3. REMOVE PTC HEATER RELAY
(a) Remove the 3 PTC heater relays from the engine room relay block.






4. INSPECT PTC HEATER RELAY (PTC HTR 1, PTC HTR 2, PTC HTR 3)
(a) Measure the resistance of the relay.
Standard Resistance:





- If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.





5. INSTALL PTC HEATER RELAY (PTC HTR 1, PTC HTR 2, PTC HTR 3)
(a) Install the 3 PTC heater relays to the engine room relay block.
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
