Applicability
Introduction
Some 2008 - 2010 model year LX 570 vehicles with climate controlled seats may exhibit a condition where the seat heater is inoperative after 5 - 10 minutes of use. The seat climate controller has been improved to correct this condition.

Warranty Information
APPLICABLE WARRANTY
^ This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
^ Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this bulletin.
Parts Information
Repair Procedure
1. Remove the front seat.
Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS) applicable model year LX 570 Repair Manual:
^ 2008 / 2009 / 2010 LX 570:
Vehicle Interior - Seat - "Seat Front Seat Assembly: Removal"
NOTE
^ The Seat Climate Control ECU MUST be replaced when replacing the Seat Climate Controller. Use the same procedure for the left and right seats.
2. Remove and replace the Seat Climate Control ECU.
A. Remove the 2 bolts.
B. Disconnect the connector.
C. Install the NEW Seat Climate Control ECU.
NOTE
After replacing the Seat Climate Control ECU, proceed to replacing either the seat cushion or seat back Seat Climate Controller.
3. Remove and replace the seat cushion Seat Climate Controller.
A. Remove the 3 bolts.
B. Remove the ducting in the direction indicated by the arrows.
C. Remove the clip securing the Seat Climate Controller in place.
D. Disconnect the connector.
E. Install the NEW seat cushion Seat Climate Controller.
4. Remove and replace the seat back Seat Climate Controller.
A. Remove the elastic ties and LED light as shown.
B. Remove the seat back cover.
C. Remove the 2 screws holding the Seat Climate Controller in place.
D. Disconnect the connector.
E. Remove the ducting in the direction indicated by the arrow in Figure 4.
F. Install the NEW seat back Seat Climate Controller.
5. Reinstall the seat.

6. Verify proper operation of seat heater.
