How To Proceed With Troubleshooting









CELLULAR COMMUNICATION: LEXUS LINK SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for current DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
HINT:
For the blinking pattern, refer to the Diagnosis System Diagnosis System and DTC Check / Clear Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

*: If blinking pattern 5-1 is output, check for DTCs using the Techstream.

4. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for historic DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

5. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
HINT:
Even if the malfunction that caused the DTC output during the historic DTC check is fixed, the FAST2 blinking pattern of the current DTC will remain.

6. CLEAR HISTORIC DTC
(a) Clear historic DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

7. CONFIRMATION TEST
(a) Check for current DTCs and confirm that the FAST1 blinking pattern occurs.
