Reassembly

SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: REASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE LH
2. INSTALL SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Install the controller.
(b) Attach the 2 wire harness clamps and connect the connector.

(d) Install the 2 screws.

(e) Attach the clamp and 2 claws to install the wire harness
(f) Connect the connector.

3. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR FILTER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)
(a) Rotate the filter clockwise to attach the claws and install it.
4. INSTALL SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Install the blower with the 2 bolts and nut.

(b) Attach the 2 clamps.
(c) Connect the connector.

(d) Attach the 4 claws to connect the duct.

5. INSTALL SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU (w/ Climate Control Seat System)
(a) Install the ECU with the 2 bolts.
(b) Connect the 2 connectors.
6. INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR Installation

7. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) Installation

8. INSTALL OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR (for Front Passenger Side) Installation

9. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Attach the claw to install the seat heater control.
(b) Attach the clamp and connect the seat heater control connector.

10. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH
(a) Attach the hook to install the lower seat cushion shield.
(b) Install the screw.
11. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
(a) Attach the hook to install the lower seat cushion shield.
(b) Install the screw.
12. INSTALL LOWER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT

(a) Install the lower active headrest unit with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
13. INSTALL UPPER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT

(a) Install the upper active headrest unit with the 4 nuts.
Torque: 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

(b) Install the upper active headrest unit to the lower active headrest unit with the cable clamp and nut.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
14. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Attach the 3 claws to install the bush.

(b) Install the lumbar support adjuster with the 2 screws.
(c) Connect the lumbar support adjuster connector.

(d) Attach the 4 hooks to install the seatback spring.
(e) Install the 4 springs.
15. INSTALL SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Move the controller in the direction of the arrow and attach the 2 hooks on the bottom. Then attach the 2 hooks on the top to install the controller.

(b) Attach the connector clamp.
(c) Connect the connector.
(d) Install the clamp.

16. INSTALL OUTSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER RH
(a) Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster cover.
(b) Install the screw.

17. INSTALL OUTSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER LH
(a) Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster cover.
(b) Install the screw.

18. INSTALL INSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER RH
(a) Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster cover.
(b) Install the 2 screws.
(c) Attach the wire harness clamp.
19. INSTALL INSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER LH
(a) Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster cover.
(b) Install the 2 screws.
(c) Attach the wire harness clamp.
20. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Set the seatback heater with the name stamp side facing the seatback cover.
(b) Install the seatback heater with new tack pins.

21. INSTALL FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK COVER
(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover with new hog rings.

NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

(b) Connect the seatback cover bracket to the seatback pad.
22. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD
(a) Install the seatback cover with pad to the seatback frame.

(b) Install the seatback cover bracket to the seat frame with the nut.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
CAUTION:
After the seatback cover is assembled, make sure the side airbag strap is not twisted.

(e) w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Attach the 2 claws to connect the duct.
23. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT
(a) Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 headrest supports.
24. INSTALL NO. 1 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY Installation

25. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Move the seatback board in the direction of the arrow to attach the 2 hooks and install the seatback board.
(b) Install the 2 screws.
26. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH
NOTICE:
- As the front passenger side seat has an occupant classification system, its front seat cushion cannot be disassembled.
- If replacing the front passenger side seat, replace the No. 1 seat cushion assembly (cushion set, occupant detection sensor, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts).
- When the No. 1 seat cushion assembly (cushion set, occupant detection sensor, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts) is replaced, the previous ECU data must be saved in the Techstream and loaded into the new ECU Registration.
- After replacing the No. 1 seat cushion assembly (cushion set, occupant detection sensor, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts), if there is a malfunction in the occupant classification system, perform zero point calibration and the sensitivity check Initialization.

(a) Set the seat cushion heater with the name stamp side facing the seat cushion cover.
(b) Install the seat cushion heater with new tack pins.

27. INSTALL FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION COVER
(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.
NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
- As the front passenger side seat has an occupant classification system, its front seat cushion cannot be disassembled.
- If replacing the front passenger side seat, replace the No. 1 seat cushion assembly (cushion set, occupant detection sensor, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts).
- When the No. 1 seat cushion assembly (cushion set, occupant detection sensor, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts) is replaced, the previous ECU data must be saved in the Techstream and loaded into the new ECU Registration.
- After replacing the No. 1 seat cushion assembly (cushion set, occupant detection sensor, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts), if there is a malfunction in the occupant classification system, perform zero point calibration and the sensitivity check Initialization.

28. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD
(a) for Driver Side:

(1) Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover with pad to the seat frame with new hog rings.

(2) Attach the hooks.
(3) Attach the hooks.

(b) for Front Passenger Side:

(1) Attach the hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.
(2) Bend the 2 seat frame claws downward.
(c) w/o Climate Control Seat System:

(1) Connect the seat heater control connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

(2) Connect the seat heater connector and attach the 2 wire harness clamps.
(d) w/ Climate Control Seat System:

(1) Attach the claw to install the connector.
(2) Attach the wire harness clamp.
(3) Connect the connector.

(4) Connect the seat heater connector and attach the 3 wire harness clamps.

(e) Install the 2 clips.

29. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH
(a) Install the switch with the 3 screws.
(b) for Driver Side:
Connect the 2 connectors.
(c) for Front Passenger Side:
Connect the connector.

30. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
(a) Attach the 2 claws and clip to install the cushion shield.
(b) Install the screw.
31. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Installation

32. INSTALL SEAT VARIABLE CUSHION SWITCH (for Driver Side)
(a) Install the switch with the 2 screws.

33. INSTALL LUMBAR SWITCH
(a) Install the lumbar switch with the 2 screws.

34. INSTALL FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)
(a) Attach the claw and guide to install the cushion shield.
(b) Install the 2 screws.

35. INSTALL FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)
(a) Attach the claw to install the cushion shield.
(b) Install the screw.
36. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) for Driver Side:
(1) Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.
(2) Connect the 2 connectors.
(b) for Front Passenger Side:
Connect the connector.

(e) Install the 2 screws.

(f) Connect the interior illumination light connector.

(g) Attach the 2 rubber bands to the hooks.

37. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the knob.

38. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the knob.
