DOOR LOCK: BACK DOOR LOCK: REMOVAL
1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
- w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
3. REMOVE CENTER BACK DOOR GARNISH Disassembly
4. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH Disassembly
5. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH Disassembly
6. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH Disassembly
7. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK COVER
(a) Detach the 4 claws and remove the cover.
8. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) w/o Power Back Door:
(1) Disconnect the connector.
(2) Remove the 3 bolts and door lock.
(b) w/ Power Back Door:
(1) Disconnect the connector.
(2) Remove the 4 bolts and door lock.
9. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK PROTECTOR (w/ Power Back Door)
(a) Remove the screw.
(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the protector B.
(c) Detach the claw and remove the protector A.
