EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: RADIATOR GRILLE: DISASSEMBLY

w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System:
HINT:
When removing the emblem, heat the radiator grille and emblem using a heat light.

Standard:





NOTICE:
Do not heat the radiator grille and emblem excessively.





1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SEAL
(a) Detach the 14 clips and remove the radiator seal.






2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM (w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)
(a) Put protective tape around the emblem.
(b) Insert a piano wire between the radiator grille and emblem.
HINT:
Be careful of the boss positions.

(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.
(d) Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the emblem to the radiator grille.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the radiator grille.

(e) Remove the emblem.






3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)
(a) Remove the 2 spring nuts.
(b) Detach the claw and remove the emblem.






4. REMOVE NO. 3 RADIATOR GRILLE GARNISH (w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)
(a) Remove the 2 spring nuts.
(b) Detach the claw and remove the garnish.
5. REMOVE FRONT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Wide View Front Monitor System) Removal
