Door Control Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The back door control switch only turns on while the switch is being pressed, and turns off when the switch is released.
When the back door control switch is on, a power back door close request signal is input to the power back door ECU to close the back door.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the back door control switch.

Back Door





OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG -- INSPECT BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH
OK -- REPLACE POWER BACK DOOR UNIT ASSEMBLY
2. INSPECT BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH





(a) Remove the back door control switch Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SWITCH - UNIT AND BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the S22 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the L36 unit connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE POWER BACK DOOR UNIT ASSEMBLY
