Rear Upper Control Arm

REAR UPPER CONTROL ARM

Components:






REMOVAL
1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
Torque: 131 Nm (1,340 kgf-cm, 97 ft. lbs.)
2. SUPPORT REAR AXLE HOUSING WITH JACK





3. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. LH side:
1. Place matchmarks on the height control sensor link and upper control arm.
2. Remove the nut and disconnect the height control sensor link.
Torque: 5.6 Nm (57 kgf-cm, 49 inch lbs.)
4. REMOVE UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the ABS speed sensor wire harness.
b. RH side:
1. Remove the bolt and heat insulator.
Torque: 18 Nm (185 kgf-cm, 13 ft. lbs.)





c. Remove the 2 nuts, washers, bolts and upper control arm.
Torque: 150 Nm (1,530 kgf-cm, 111 ft. lbs.)

HINT: At the time of installation, please refer to the follow items.
^ Replace the 2 used nuts with new ones.
^ After stabilizing the suspension, torque the nuts.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

HINT: After installation, fill the AHC pump & motor reservoir with suspension fluid AHC, bleed the AHC system and check for leaks.
