INITIALIZATION OF SLIDING ROOF DURING PDS

Models:
'06 RX 400h

Introduction

Initialize the sliding roof after installing the Short Pin in its original location during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS).

The installation of the Short Pin will enable the operation of the "one-touch tilt up and down," "one-touch slide open and close," and "jam protection" functions of the sliding roof.

NOTE:
Any time the battery terminal has been disconnected, initialize the sliding roof after reconnecting the battery terminal.

^ 2006 model year RX 400h vehicles.





Warranty Information

Initialization Procedure

1. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.





2. Push and hold the sliding roof switch to the "TILT-UP" side or "SLIDE-CLOSE" side until the following cycle of the sliding roof operation is completed:

A. Closing

B. Fully tilt up

C. Fully tilt down

D. Fully slide open

E. Fully slide close

After the cycle of operation above is completed, initialization is complete.

3. Check for proper operation of the "one-touch slide open and close" and "one-touch tilt up and down" functions by pushing the switch briefly to the "SLIDE-OPEN" and TILT-UP" positions.

NOTE:
Jam protection function is enabled through the above initialization procedure.
