Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair
REPLACEMENT1. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTICE: Wash the brake fluid off immediately if it adheres to any painted surfaces.
2. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
a. Using SST(s), disconnect the 6 brake tubes from the actuator with bracket.

b. Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect.
c. Pull the lock lever upward.
d. Disconnect the actuator connector.
e. Remove the 2 bolts, the nut and the actuator with bracket.
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the brake tubes.
3. REMOVE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 nuts and the ABS & TRACTION actuator assembly from the brake actuator bracket.
4. INSTALL ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
a. Install the ABS & TRACTION actuator assembly with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 inch lbs.)
5. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
a. Install the actuator with bracket and the 2 bolts and the nut.
Torque: 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.)
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the brake tubes.
b. Connect the actuator connector.
c. Using SST(s), connect each brake tube to correct positions of the actuator with bracket, as shown in the illustration.

Torque: 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.)
6. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID
7. BLEED MASTER CYLINDER
SST 09023-00100
8. BLEED BRAKE LINE
9. CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR
10. CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE
11. CHECK BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH HAND-HELD TESTER
