Rear Lateral Control Rod
Rear Suspension / Coil Spring, Shock Absorber, Control Rods, Stabilizer Bar:
REMOVAL
1. Remove rear wheel.
Torque to 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.)
2. Remove lateral control rod.
a. Remove the bolt, nut and plate washer, and disconnect the lateral control rod.
Installation Hint: After stabilizing the suspension, torque the bolt to 177 Nm (130 ft. lbs.)
b. Remove the bolt and lateral control rod from the axle housing.
Installation Hint: after stabilizing the suspension, torque the bolt to 245 Nm (181 ft. lbs.)
3. Replace lateral control rod bushing.
a. Using SST 09550-10012 (09553-10010), 09710-22021 (09710-01071) and a press, remove the bushing.
b. Using SST 09550-10012 (09553-10010), 09710-22021 (09710-01071) and a press, install a new bushing.
INSTALLATION
^ Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
