Front Lateral Control Rod

Front Suspension / Coil Spring, Shock Absorber, Lateral Control Rod, Stabilizer Bar:






REMOVAL
1. Remove front wheel.

Torque to 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.)





2. Disconnect lateral control rod from axle housing. Remove the bolt and disconnect the lateral control rod from the axle housing.

Installation Hint: After stabilizing the suspension, torque the bolt to 171 Nm (127 ft. lbs.)





3. Remove lateral control rod from frame. Remove the nut, bolt and lateral control rod.

Installation Hint: After stabilizing the suspension, torque the bolt to 171 Nm (127 ft. lbs.)





4. Remove bushing. Using SST 0971-22042 (0971 0-02051, 09710 - 02071), 09950-70010 (09951-07150), remove the bushing from the lateral control rod.





5. Install bushing using SST 09710-22042 (09710 - 02051, 09710-02071), install a new bushing into the lateral control rod.

HINT: Do not use a lubricant when pressing in the bushing.

INSTALLATION
^ Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
