Rear Stabilizer BarService Repair No - 64.35.08
Removal
WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the LH rear air spring.
3. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
4. Remove the exhaust system.
NOTE:
LH illustration shown, RH is similar.
NOTE:
Use an additional wrench to prevent the ball joint rotating.
5. Release the stabilizer bar links from the stabilizer bar.
^ Remove the stabilizer bar link nut.
^ Repeat procedure for the other side.
NOTE:
RH illustration shown, LH is similar.
NOTE:
Note the fitted position of the stabilizer bar and bushings to aid installation.
6. Remove the stabilizer bar.
^ Remove the 2 nuts.
^ Repeat procedure for the other side.
Installation
1. Install the stabilizer bar.
^ Tighten the nuts to 56 Nm.
NOTE:
Use an additional wrench to prevent the ball joint rotating.
2. Connect both rear stabilizer bar links to the stabilizer bar.
^ Tighten the nuts to 100 Nm.
3. Install the exhaust system.
4. Connect the battery ground cable.
5. Install the LH rear air spring.
