Steering Column Tilt Motor

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Fully extend the steering column for access.

NOTE:
The steering wheel is shown removed for clarity.

3. Remove the steering column lower shroud.
^ Release the steering column extension gaiter.
^ Remove the 3 screws.





4. Remove the steering column upper shroud.
5. Remove the steering column tilt motor.
^ Disconnect the electrical connector.
^ Remove the 2 bolts.





Installation
1. Install the steering column tilt motor.
^ Tighten the bolts to 5 Nm (4 ft. lbs.).
^ Connect the electrical connector.
^ Lubricate the components.

2. Install the steering column upper shroud.
^ Install the screws.
^ Attach the steering column extension gaiter.

3. Install the steering column lower shroud.
^ Install the screws.
^ Attach the steering column extension gaiter.

4. Return the steering column to its original position.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.
