Cooling Fan Belt

Special Service Tools





Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the intake air resonator.
3. Remove the coolant hose support bracket.
^ Remove the 2 bolts.
^ Release the 2 coolant hoses.





4. Using the special tools, release the cooling fan.

CAUTION: Always protect the cooling pack elements to prevent accidental damage.

NOTE: The thread is right handed.





5. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.

6. Remove the cooling fan belt tensioner.
7. Remove the cooling fan belt.

Installation
1. Install the cooling fan belt.
2. Install the cooling fan drive belt tensioner.
3. Using the special tools, secure the cooling fan.
^ Tighten the cooling fan to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.).

4. Install the coolant hose support bracket.
^ Tighten the bolts to 6 Nm (4 ft. lbs.).
^ Secure the coolant hoses.

5. Install the intake air resonator.
6. Connect the battery ground cable.
