Removal

1. Make the SRS system safe.

2. CAUTION: Make sure that the road wheels are in the straight ahead position.

Remove the steering wheel.

3. Release the steering column adjustment lever.
4. Remove the steering column upper cowl.
5. Remove the steering column lower cowl.







6. CAUTION: Make sure that the clockspring rotor does not rotate.







Installation

1. CAUTION: Correct clockspring alignment can be found by viewing a yellow marker through the window situated on the clockspring face, at the 8 o'clock position. If the marker is not visible, carefully turn the clockspring fully clockwise. Turn the clockspring in a counterclockwise direction 3.25 turns. The yellow marker should now be in the central position.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
