Engine Accessory Bracket: Adjustments

Accessory Drive Component Bracket Alignment

Special Service Tools








NOTE: This procedure is to be used where an accessory drive belt alignment or accessory drive component bracket alignment is required.

1. Check the alignment of the accessory drive component bracket.

Special Service Tools: Aligner, A/C Bracket





2. Adjust procedure:
3. Drain the cooling system.
4. Remove the LH engine mount.
5. Raise and support the transmission to gain access to the engine mount bracket adjuster.
6. Release the bracket.





7. Disconnect the coolant hose, to enable removal of the bolt.





8. Back-off both adjusters.





9. Check the alignment of the bracket using the special tool.

Special Service Tools: Aligner, A/C Bracket





10. Set both adjusters as required.





11. Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket.

Torque:
M10. 45 Nm
M8. 25 Nm

12. Connect and secure the coolant hose.
13. Install the LH engine mount.
14. Refill the cooling system.
15. Remove the special tool.
