Headliner - Vehicles With: Tilting Roof Opening Panel

Removal
CAUTION: Make sure that the wiring harnesses are correctly located.
NOTE:
^ If a headliner is to be replaced, it is imperative that the washer hose and wiring harness are installed to their original positions. Failure to follow these instructions may impede the side air curtain module performance.
^ Note the position of the wiring harnesses to aid installation.
1. Remove both A-pillar trim panels.
2. Remove both B-pillar upper trim panels.
3. Remove both C-pillar trim panels.
4. Remove both D-pillar upper trim panels.
5. Remove the loadspace securing ring.
6. Remove the rear quarter trim panel.
7. Remove the glove compartment.
8. Passenger side: Remove the cowl side trim panel.
9. Passenger side: Remove the speaker grille.

13. Remove the interior rear view mirror.
14. Remove both sun visors.
15. Remove the overhead console.
16. Remove both front interior lamps.
17. Remove the center interior lamp.
18. Remove the rear interior lamp.
19. Remove the 4 passenger assist handles.
20. Position the front seats fully forward.
21. Position the rear seats fully forward.
22. Release the rear of the headliner.
23. Release the front door seals.
24. Disconnect the washer jet hose.
25. Release the headliner.
26. Disconnect the roof opening panel motor electrical connector.
27. NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.
Remove the headliner.
28. NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
Remove the tire pressure monitoring system receiver.
29. NOTE: Make sure that this component is installed to the noted removal position.
Remove the washer jet hose.
30. Remove the 14 clips.
31. NOTE: Note the position of the wiring harnesses to aid installation.
Remove the headliner wiring harness.
Installation
1. CAUTION: Make sure that the wiring harnesses are correctly located.
Align the yellow tape on the wiring harness to the corner of the headliner.
2. Install the clips.
3. Install the washer jet hose.
4. Install the tire pressure monitoring system receiver.
5. NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.
Install the headliner.
6. Connect the roof opening panel motor electrical connector.
7. Connect the washer jet hose.
8. Attach the front door seals.
9. Attach the rear of the headliner.
10. Reposition the rear seats.
11. Reposition the front seats.
12. Install the passenger assist handles.
13. Install the rear interior lamp.
14. Install the center interior lamp.
15. Install the front interior lamps.
16. Install the overhead console.
17. Install the sun visors.
18. Install the interior rear view mirror.
19. Connect the headliner wiring harness and secure the clips.
20. Install the speaker grille.
21. Install the cowl side trim panel.
22. Install the glove compartment.
23. Install the rear quarter trim panel.
24. Install the loadspace securing ring and tighten the Torx screw.
Torque: 25 Nm
25. Install the D-pillar trim panels.
26. Install the C-pillar trim panels.
27. Install the B-pillar trim panels.
28. Install the A-pillar trim panels.
