Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve

Service Repair No - 17.10.14

Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Release the wiring harness from the PCV valve.





4. CAUTION: Always plug any open connections to prevent contamination.

Remove the PCV valve.
^ Disconnect the PCV hose.
^ Remove the 2 bolts.
^ Remove and discard the 2 O-ring seals.





Installation
1. Install the PCV valve.
^ Clean the components.
^ Install the new O-ring seals.
^ Lubricate the O-ring seals with clean engine oil.
^ Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.).

2. Attach the wiring harness.
3. Install the engine cover.
4. Connect the battery ground cable.
