SITUATION:

INCORRECT WORKSHOP MANUAL INFORMATION

The securing bolts and fill plug torque information contained in the 2003 Range Rover RAVE V017 Workshop Manual is incorrect.

RESOLUTION:

OBSERVE CORRECTED INFORMATION PROVIDED

Until the RAVE WSM can be corrected, please be aware of the torque values provided in this TIB to ensure that proper torque is applied to the fasteners specified below when repairs or maintenance procedures are performed.

PARTS INFORMATION:

STC50552 Thread Sealant

WARRANTY CLAIMS:

Normal warranty policy and procedures apply.
Material allowance is included in labor operation.

USE PROPER TORQUE VALUES

CAUTION:
The INCORRECT information appears in the RAVE WSM under the Torque Wrench Settings listing for "Front Differential" and also in the Front Differential repair procedures (Sections 54.10.01 for the securing bolts and 54.15.02 for the filler/level plug).

1. If the level plug is being installed, apply sealant (STC50552) to threads.





2. Verify that torque values selected are correct for repair as specified in the table.

3. Torque to the correct specification.
