D203 Inspection Information
The first figure used in the D203 Bulletin is not the best depiction of the attenuators in the "correct" and "incorrect" plumbing for the ACE system. The published illustration shows rubber insulation that covers at least one of the attenuators in most installations.
For inspection purposes a correct pipe can most easily be identified by the attenuator located on the flexible hose portion of the pipe a few inches downstream of the pump banjo fitting. Refer to Figure 1 and note the circled attenuator. If this attenuator is present the plumbing is the correct specification.
The revised Figure 1 more accurately shows the position of the attenuators. This illustration will be inserted into the bulletin "D203" on the InfoTrail.
