Brake Fluid Reservoir






NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) below refer to numbers in the illustration.

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect fluid level switch multiplug (1). Remove fluid filler cap.
2. Position container to collect fluid.
3. Position cloth beneath pump to catch spillage.
4. Release clip (4) securing reservoir hose (5) to pump.
6. Release reservoir hose from pump. Drain reservoir into container.
7. Plug pipes and connections.
8. Remove bolts retaining reservoir securing bracket, then the brackets.
9. Remove reservoir (10) from two seals.
10. Remove reservoir seals (11) from booster unit.

CAUTION: Do not allow seal debris to enter booster ports.

11. Plug reservoir and booster ports.
12. Release two clips securing fluid level switch to reservoir, then remove switch.

INSTALLATION
1. Install fluid level switch to reservoir.
2. Remove plugs from booster ports and reservoir.
3. Lubricate new reservoir seals (11) with clean brake fluid. Install to booster ports.
4. Position reservoir (10). Engage fully into seals.
5. Position reservoir bracket. Secure with bolt (9). Tighten to 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.).
6. Remove plug from reservoir hose (5) and pump. Connect hose to pump. Secure with clip (4).
7. Connect fluid level switch multiplug (1).
8. Fill reservoir.
