DETAIL

Land Rover has identified a number of vehicles that were built without the proper warning label affixed to the battery. This label contains important information concerning the inherent dangers related to the acid contained within the battery and the care that must be taken when working on or around batteries.

ACTION REQUIRED

At the earliest opportunity fit the battery warning label to vehicles in the above VIN range with omitted label.

PROCEDURE

To access vehicle's battery and apply label follow procedure below.

1. Flip up driver's side seat cushion, exposing battery access panel.

2. Slip battery access panel forward and remove.

3. Carefully clean top of battery to apply label with wet rag (do not use solvents).





4. Affix label on top of battery in location shown in illustration.

5. Refit battery access panel and lower seat cushion.
