Electronic Air Suspension - Service Action C845
In the interest of customer satisfaction, we have decided to notify Range Rover owners in Canada of a potential problem with the EAS system. The owners will be sent an advisory requesting them to make an appointment with their dealer to have certain components of the EAS system updated.
All ('93, '94, and 95 MY) Range Rovers equipped with EAS before VIN 654350 will be affected.
EAS vehicles up to 649520 will receive an updated compressor and diaphragm seal kit.
EAS vehicles between 649520 and 654350 will receive the updated diaphragm seal kit only.
Exact repair procedures and in-depth technical advice will be provided in Technical Information Bulletin C845 to follow.
This Service Action will be run in conjunction with the Cold Start Service Action C855. This will prevent owners of vehicles included in the Cold Start Service Action from being contacted twice, and hence a possible two separate visits to your dealership.
REPLACEMENT PARTS
LRC will release notifications to customers in waves to coincide with parts availability. We will let you know when the letters will be sent to customers who purchased vehicles from you. Since LRC will waive all VOR and shipping charges for parts needed to perform repairs under this program, there is no need to stock these parts. Please only order enough parts to repair vehicles for which customers have actually scheduled an appointment.

REPAIR REIMBURSEMENT
Claim type M, campaign number C845 and the following campaign options should be used to claim for repairs performed under this program:
Replace EAS compressor and valve body seal kit - '93 MY Option 93 - 1.3 hrs
Replace EAS compressor and valve body seal kit - '94 MY Option 94 - 1.3 hrs
Replace EAS compressor and valve body seal kit - '95 MY Option 95 - 1.3 hrs
Install EAS valve body seal kit only - '95 MY within vin
range 649521 -654350 Option 95A - .85 hrs
$10.00 CDA will be credited to your account to cover shipping for parts return under options 93, 94, and 95.
PARTS RETURN
All compressors should be packaged in the original container, have tags attached bearing the VIN and mileage of the subject vehicle and be shipped IMMEDIATELY to LRC via second-day courier. Please highlight the Campaign number C845 somewhere on the outside of the container in order for the package to be readily identified at LRC. Do not wait until you build up a stock of displaced compressors: parts should be returned on the same day that repair is performed.
