Stub Shaft Pilot Bearing and Seal - Defender 90





Removal

1. Remove hub assembly.
2. Remove 6 bolts securing stub axle to axle casing. Remove mudshield.
3. Remove stub shaft and gasket.
4. Remove and discard oil seal.

Installation

1. Lubricate replacement seal with EP90 oil. Fit seal, lip side trailing using tool LRT-51-004. Drive seal intohousing until it is flush with rear face of stub shaft.






2. Fit new gasket, stub shaft and mud sheild. Fit bolts and tighten to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.)
3. Refit hub assembly.
