SPECIAL TOOL LRT-57-030 POWER STEERING DIAGNOSIS
An updated hose assembly for the Land Rover power steering tester is now available. This new hose, LRT-57-030, is used in place of the existing hose JD.1O-3A (L2T-57-002) and steering box adaptor LST.1O-11 (LRT-57-004).
The new assembly is easier to install than the current hose/adaptor set up, particularly on late model Range Rovers. In addition, the lack of built-in restriction (caused by JD.10-3A), provides a more accurate no-load pressure reading.
Refer to the diagram when connecting the power steering tester to a vehicle. Refer to the Workshop Manual, Section 57 for test procedures and pressures.
SHIPPING INFORMATION
Each Land Rover Dealer will automatically be shipped one hose assembly directly from our Memphis parts warehouse.
Shipped with the new test hose is an additional threaded adaptor which is identical to the one which is part of your existing LRT-57-004. YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED FOR THIS ADAPTOR. It was simpler for the manufacturer to include it rather than create a special part number for our market.
Your Parts account will be billed $123.15 (U.S.) for the updated hose assembly.
Please keep the current hose and adaptor as back-up for the new tool.
