Rear Stabilizer Bar

Service Repair No - 64.35.08

Removal

1. Note for reassembly, position of rubber bushings on stabilizer bar.





2. Remove 4 nuts, bolts and washers securing 2 bushing straps to chassis mountings.
3. Remove nuts, bolts, washers and rubber bushings securing stabilizer bar to links.
4. Remove stablizer bar.

Installation

1. Position rubber bushings on stabilizer bar as noted during removal. Install split joint towards axle.
2. Install stabilizer bar and bushes with 2 bushing straps. Ensure ball joint link arms point down as shown in illustration. Loosely install, bolts, washers and NEW nylock nuts.
3. Install bolt, washers and rubber bushings. Install stabilizer bar to ball joint links and tighten to: 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.).
4. Tighten nuts securing straps to: 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
