Brake Fluid Accumulator: Service and Repair

WARNING: The [1][2]accumulator is precharged with nitrogen. Handle with extreme caution. DO NOT puncture or burn if disposal is necessary.

REMOVE

1. Disconnect battery negative lead.
2. Depressurize the system.

Inlet/Outlet Pipes:





3. Remove the fluid inlet and outlet pipes from the [1][2]accumulator.
4. Remove the wheel arch inner liner and remove the two nuts and plain washers securing the [1][2]accumulator.
5. Remove [1][2]accumulator.

REFIT
1. Reverse removal procedure. Check condition of sealing washers on high pressure hose. Fit new washers if necessary.
2. Carry out brake bleed procedure.
