AIR CONDITIONING REFRIGERANT
A refrigerant blend known as R-176 and sold under the trade name of "Alaskan Kool" is currently being marketed in the U.S. It claims to be a replacement for R-12 (automotive) and R-22 (residential/commercial).
Information supplied by the Society of Automotive Engineers indicates that this product DOES NOT replace R-12 and can cause system performance and reliability problems.
Only R-12 (Dichlorodifluromethane) is approved for Range Rover vehicles. DO NOT USE ANY SUBSTITUTES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
