WARNING: Disconnect the battery negative terminal before adjusting drive belts to avoid the possibility of the vehicle being started.

A/C COMPRESSOR DRIVE BELT

Adjust
1. Loosen the idler pulley securing bolt.

A/C Drive Belt:

2. Adjust the position of the idler pulley until the correct tension is obtained. The belt must be tight with 4-6 mm (0.19-0.25 in) total deflection when checked by hand midway between the pulleys on the longest run.
3. Tighten the securing bolt and recheck the tension.
