Radiator: Service and Repair
RADIATOR/OIL COOLERSREMOVE
1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the fan blade assembly.
3. Remove the fan cowl.
Radiator Connections:
4. Disconnect the radiator top hoses.
5. Disconnect the four transmission and engine oil cooler connections to the radiator end tanks. Note that oil spillage will occur when connections are loosened. Blank off exposed oil connections.
6. Disconnect the transmission oil temperature sensor plug.
Radiator Mounts:
7. Remove the radiator securing brackets from each side.
8. Remove the radiator unit by lifting from its location. Check the condition of the rubber mounting pads.
REFIT
1. Check that the radiator sealing strips are securely located.
2. Transfer the oil cooler adaptors if fitting a new radiator.
3. Reverse the removal procedure, ensuring that oil cooler connections are tightened to 24-36 Nm (19-25 ft lb).
4. Clean any coolant/oil spillage from the vehicle.
5. Check all connections for coolant/oil leaks.
