1990 PREMIUM AUDIO SYSTEM
To: ALL RANGE ROVER DEALERS
The 1990 Premium Audio System (PAS) consists of the following main assemblies:
Head Unit - "Sleeveless" mount in console
Front Amplifier - Underneath cubby box liner
Rear Amplifier - Attached beneath shelf in load space
Crossover Unit - Attached beneath shelf in load space
CD Changer - Located underneath shelf in load space
Main Audio Harness - Connects to head unit, front amp.,
audio sub harness and main vehicle
harness
Audio Sub Harness - Connects to rear amp, crossover unit,
rear speakers, vehicle harness and to
the main audio harness
DIN Cable - Connects head unit to CD changer
Fuses are sized and located as follows:
CD Changer - 2A inline - in Red CD changer power lead
Front Amplifier - 4A inline - in White/Orange lead in console
Rear Amplifier - 4A inline - in White/orange lead in console
Head Unit - 6.3A Glass - at rear of head unit
The connection diagrams should be used for system diagnosis. A troubleshooting chart is in development and will be published when completed. Please note that the slide switch on both amplifiers must be in the "booster" position for the system to operate.
