Power Sliding Door (PSD) Control Module Replacement (Body - 040)
- Description
Some 2006 and later Sedona (VQ) models manufactured before October 1st 2007, and having the Power Sliding Door (PSD) option, may exhibit a condition where a PSD reopens approximately 6 inches from the latch area while closing. In those instances the door ajar warning light will illuminate, along with all overhead interior lighting. It is also possible that the door will not reopen, but the customer will report that the door motor continues to run (for approximately 2 additional seconds) after closing. A new PSD module is available, part number 95450 4D102, which should be installed to address these concerns. If you conduct testing to confirm the presence of the reopening condition, make sure that the vehicle is in Park during the test, since the door will not reopen in Drive or any other gear.
In the event of a customer complaint matching these concerns, replace both Power Sliding Door (PSD) control modules whether one or both doors are affected.

PROCEDURE PSD CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT
1. Please note that this service procedure only addresses a power sliding door reopening approximately 6 inches after closing.
2. If a customer complaint exists, replace BOTH PSD control modules with part number 95450 4D102 following the service procedure provided in KGIS under Body Electrical, Power Sliding Door System, Power Sliding Door Module.
LH (driver's side) PSD drive unit and control module is shown.
* NOTICE
There are two PSD Modules, one for each PSD. They are located on each of the two PSD drive units, behind the inner rear trim panel, above the rear inner wheel wells.
A close-up view of the RH (passenger's side) PSD drive unit and control module is shown. The module is attached to the PSD drive unit in a similar, but slightly different area.
Both new control modules share a common part number (95450 4D102) and are fully interchangeable.
Original module has two small white colored stickers applied to the case.
New module only has one larger sticker applied as shown.
RELEARNING / RESETTING THE DOORS AFTER PSD MODULE REPLACEMENT
3. Make sure both PSD's are closed.
Turn OFF the ignition key.
Pull out (but do not remove) the shunt fuse in the IPM fuse panel. Wait 30 seconds and then reinstall the shunt fuse.
Arrow indicates location of shunt fuse in the IPM.
On a level surface, use any power door input to completely open and close each PSD 3 times to relearn the doors.
4. Check each PSD for normal operation, and that the original customer complaint has been repaired. Each PSD should operate smoothly and without hesitation. Should either PSD not operate normally, recheck for any other possible conditions that may affect normal operation.
If no other concerns are found and either PSD continues to exhibit a customer concern, contact TechLine.
* NOTICE
ON RETURNING THE VEHICLE TO THE CUSTOMER, REMIND THEM TO WAIT A FULL FIVE SECONDS AFTER A CLOSING INPUT BEFORE PLACING THE VEHICLE INTO GEAR, IN ORDER FOR THE PSD TO CLOSE AND LATCH BEFORE DRIVING THE VEHICLE.
