M12 Bolts
Step 1 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.)
Step 2 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.)
Step 3 Turn 90° (turn 90°)

M8 Bolts
Step 1 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
Step 2 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.)

SURFACE VARIATION - HEAD-TO-BLOCK

Inspect the cylinder head for out-of-flatness, using a straightedge and a feeler gauge. If tolerances exceed 0.0508 mm (0.002 in.) replace the cylinder head.

INTAKE MANIFOLD TORQUE





Using the sequence shown, install the intake manifold retaining bolts and tighten to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs).

EXHAUST MANIFOLD TORQUE & SEQUENCE









Exhaust Manifold to Cylinder Head - Bolts 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).
