Water Pump - Installation

5.7L ENGINE










1. Install water pump (3) and mounting bolts. Tighten mounting bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
2. Install heater hoses.
3. Install upper and lower radiator hoses.
4. Install belt tensioner assembly,Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner - Installation.
5. Install idler pulleys.
6. Install A/C compressor (2) ,alternator (1) and alternator brace. Tighten bolt and nuts to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
7. Install fan shroud assembly.
8. Connect washer bottle wiring and hose,Windshield Washer Reservoir - Installation.
9. Install coolant fill bottle,Coolant Recovery Bottle - Installation.
10. Install fan clutch assembly,Viscous Radiator Fan Clutch - Installation.
11. Install serpentine belt,Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt - Installation.
12. Connect negative battery cable.
13. Evacuate air and refill the cooling system.Water Pump - Coolant Air Evacuation
14. Check cooling system for leaks.Component Tests and General Diagnostics
