Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

EVAP/Purge Solenoid:

The duty cycle EVAP canister purge solenoid is located in the engine compartment near the front of the brake master cylinder. It is attached to a slip-on type bracket.

The EVAP System Test Port is located near the EVAP/Purge Solenoid.
1. Disconnect electrical wiring connector at solenoid.
2. Disconnect vacuum lines/hoses at solenoid.
3. Lift solenoid and rubber solenoid support from mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION
1. Install purge solenoid and rubber support to its mounting bracket.
2. Connect vacuum harness and wiring connector.
