Compass Test Failure

COMPASS TEST FAILURE

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition on.

SET CONDITION
Compass inoperative.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Electronic vehicle information center

DIAGNOSTIC TEST

1. ELECTRONIC VEHICLE INFORMATION CENTER
Turn the ignition off.
Depress and hold the RESET and C/T buttons while turning the ignition on.

NOTE: This test may also be performed using the scan tool.

Q: Does the EVIC or scan tool display "FAIL"?

YES: Replace the EVIC.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
NO: Test Complete.
