Brake Rotor/Disc: Service and Repair
FRONT1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and caliper as outlined under Brake Caliper/Service and Repair.

2. Remove retainers securing rotor to hub, then slide rotor off hub studs.
3. Reverse procedure to install.
REAR
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and caliper as outlined under Brake Caliper/Service and Repair.

2. Remove access plug from brake splash shield, then rotate adjuster screw with brake tool as shown, to back off parking brake shoes. Driver's side screw must be rotated clockwise and passenger's side counterclockwise as viewed from rear of vehicle.
3. Remove push nuts securing rotor to axle shaft studs, then slide rotor off axle hub and studs. A soft mallet may be required to loosen rotor.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Using brake tool, rotate parking brake adjuster screws until shoes contact friction surface, then back off screws 1/2--1 turn to ensure correct parking brake adjustment.
b. Pump brake pedal to seat caliper piston and brake pads prior to operating vehicle. Do not operate vehicle until brake pedal feels firm.
