Installation

FRONT
1. Install caliper over rotor and in anchor plate.
2. Align caliper and anchor plate, then install caliper mounting pins and tighten to specifications.
3. Install new washers on brake line connector or fitting and connect brake line to caliper. Tighten brake line bolt to specifications.
4. Fill master cylinder to within 1/4 inch of reservoir rims, then depress brake pedal several times to seat brake pads.
5. Install wheel and tire assemblies, then lower vehicle.
6. Check master cylinder fluid level and correct as necessary, then check operation of brake system.

REAR

1. Position caliper over rotor and into bracket, ensuring brake pads are positioned as shown.
2. Connect rear brake hose to caliper and install new metal fitting washers, then tighten fitting bolt to specifications.
3. Lubricate caliper mounting bolts, then install and tighten to specifications.
4. Ensure brake fluid reservoir is full, then bleed brakes as outlined under Hydraulic System/Service and Repair/Brake System Bleed.
5. Install wheel and lower vehicle, then turn ignition switch to On position and run HCU pump until it stops.
6. Pump brake pedal several times to seat brake pads. Brake warning indicator lamps should go out.
