Door Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Service and Repair

Door Ajar Switch:

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the screw securing the switch to the pillar at the rear of the door opening.
3. Pull the switch from the mounting hole in the door opening.
4. Unplug the wire connector from the switch.
5. Reverse the removal procedures to install. Tighten the switch mounting screw to 1.7 N.m (15 in. lbs.).
